2010 Retreats at Big Mind Zen Center with Genpo Roshi

Salt Lake City, Utah

For 2010 we are offering four one-week long Big Mind Zen Retreats here in Salt Lake City. 

Each retreat will have very similar daily schedules featuring two Big Mind sessions with Genpo Roshi each day along with sitting meditation, our great vegetarian meals, and quiet time for exercise, study or contemplation. 

You’ll notice that two of the retreats (Summer and Winter) say “Sesshin” and the other two (Spring and Fall) say “Retreat”. The only difference is that during the Sesshins we meditate longer in the morning and evening, and sometimes have traditional Zen ceremonies for certain occasions in the evenings. We also may be serving some of the meals in the traditional Japanese “Oryoki” style, which we will give instruction on during the week. 

These are four great opportunities to go deep into your exploration of the Self and the Transcendant, with the guidance and support of Genpo Roshi and the assistant teachers and staff here at Big Mind Zen Center in Salt Lake City.
